1.6 Compliance status of ‘Guidelines on preparation of Self-learning Material’ – As per Annexure - VIII of UGC (ODL) Regulations, 2017:
HEI shall mention the process followed to ensure that SLMs are prepared as per the guidelines mentioned in the Regulations. The explicit details of approval by its Statutory Authorities shall also be mentioned.
1. CIQA formulates new programmes, get it approved by the statutory bodies and send it to UGC for recognition. 2. CIQA ensures nomenclature, duration, eligibility conditions, academic services, evaluation system and outcome of progra mmes logically. 3. Staff council develop syllabus, workshop conducted to develop the content. BOS recommends it along with the ordinance. 4. Academic council accepts BOS resolution, if found correct. Otherwise it will send back for revisit. 5. Board of Management approves syllabus, regulations and ordinance. 6. Department organize workshop to train teachers for the development of SLM. 7. CIQA intervenes for quality enrichment of SLM 8. University organize printed study material and electronic content as per the need.
