Details of actions taken based on Objectives and Functions of CIQA:
Maintenance of Quality in the services provided to the learners
1. For providing improved learner support services students grievance redressal in place which address their problems has been established and functional. The grievances can be uploaded on the website also. 2. Updated calendar of events and programme guides prepared for each program and can be accessed through the website 3. Prospectus for each programme is uploaded in the website of KSOU. 4. For the benefit of the new students seeking admission Pre-admission counselling services extended at learner support centers, regional centres and also at the headquarters. 5. Candidates are given horizontal option at the entry level of UG. 6. SLM, e-content of the learning material provided at the time of admission. The soft copies of the SLM is also made available in the form of soft copies. 7. Assignment as a part of continuous assessment is made known to the students strictly as per the calendar of events. Continuous improvement
For development of quality learning material Editorial committee. 2. Admission hassles set right through the intervention of ICT. 3. ICT used for teaching learning process. 4. Internal assessment treated as continuous assessment. 5. Assignments are sent to the students by hard copy, mobile services, e-mail, besides website. Further, information also provided through newspapers. 6. Existing study material revisited by the Department Council and also external academic peer. 7. Feedback obtained from various stakeholders to revise the syllabus. 8. Workshops are conducted to understand where the faculty is and where it should go.
Identification of the key areas in which the HEI should maintain quality
1. Programmes are launched by KSOU as per the nomenclature of the course of UGC. 2. Allocation of credits assigned by the regulatory body. 3. Scientifically developed the SLM both print and ICT. 4. Frequent training of teachers to increase their capacity building. 5. Conducting of workshop from time to time, so as to enable to faculty to keep themselves abreast with contemporary challenges. 6. Training of academic counsellors at various centers mainly to enable them to deliver academic services to the best of their ability. 7. Method of evaluating the components of the internal assessment and offering feedback by the teachers. 8. Academic counsellors and the core faculty shall perform multifaceted role, as such faculty development programme conducted from time to time. 9. Conducting of examination transparently at various centers without malpractice. 10. Sakala introduced, so that the learner get relief to their problem within the stipulated period.
