1.5 Compliance status of ‘Quality Assurance Guidelines of Learning Material in Multiple Media, Curriculum and Pedagogy’ – As per Annexure - VII of UGC(ODL) Regulations, 2017:
HEI shall mention compliance details against the requirements in terms of Learning material (Print Media), Audio Video Material: Quality Standards, Online Material: Quality Standards, Computer-based material: Quality Standards and Curriculum and Pedagogy: Quality Standards, as mentioned in the Annexure-VII of the Regulations.
The curriculum of all the academic programmes is being revised. Print media: SLM of various programmes contains the following features: 1. Interactive – two-way communication. 2. Syllabus prescribed on the basis of credits assigned. 3. Workshop conducted for the core faculty and academic counsellors on the development of SLM. 4. Each credit has possession of learning material equal to that of 30 learning hours. 5. SLM of each credit is made up of a block which is further in units. 6. SLM is depicted unit-wise. 7. Objectives of learning provided with activity based verbs. 8. Introduction of the unit gives a birds-eye view of that unit. 9. After studying a part of the unit, learner can raise questions and answer to it through check your progress. 10. Key words and their meaning provided wherever required. 11. Terminal questions provided at the end, which enable students to answer those questions, followed by summary of each such unit. 12. Syllabus and regulation of the programme is developed by the Staff Council, BOS recommends it, Academic Council and Board of Management clears it along with Ordinance.
